Goal 1: Design and implement a program of maintenance and property stewardship.
Objectives: 1. Develop a program of scheduled maintenance by January 2002. 2. Replace all bedroom furniture in 2002 to celebrate the 100th year birthday of the existence of the house. 3. Replace roof on the house by December 31, 2002. 4. Install new storm windows on the house by December 2004. 5. Develop a landscaping plan by December 2001 and implement it in the next two years.
Goal 2: Establish a comprehensive funding program to ensure long-term financial stability.
Objectives: 1. Explore the possibility of hiring a fundraiser within the next two years. 2. Identify and cultivate at least five benefactors each year to contribute a total of 2500. 3. Activate the Financial Development Committee by June 2001. 4. Put ten percent of the budget in the money market account to balance cash flow beginning in 2001, to be achieved by January 2006.
Goal 3: Intentionally Cultivate on-going relationships with former residents and board members.
Objectives: 1. Build a data base of former residents and board members including, but not limited to, last known address and contact person. a. past 10 years of board members by June 2001 b. past 2 years of residents by September 2001 2. Conduct exit interviews with departing residents that convey expectations of continued growth and future contact. a. Develop exit interview format to incorporate both planned and abrupt departures by April 2001. b. Initiate exit interviews on June 1, 2001. 3. Send birthday cards and invitations to the annual open house to former residents beginning September 2001 4. Hire a ½ time administrative staff support person to coordinate communication to current and former residents and board members by January 2004. 5. Establish an annual homecoming celebration for former residents by January 2005.
Goal 4: Killingsworth will be identified throughout the SC Annual Conference and the Columbia community as a caring connection and place of healing for women in crisis.
Objectives: 1. Develop and implement a web page by December 31, 2001. 2. Staff will participate in appropriate groups in the community in 2001 and beyond, including private agency, governmental, and community coalitions. 3. Staff will write at least two grant proposals a year beginning in 2002. 4. Staff and board members will make contact with specific persons in area colleges in order to recruit services to Killingsworth residents by January 2002. 5. Killingsworth will become a member of the United Methodist Association by January 2002.
